Vegetarian Restaurant Near Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu
Pashupatinath, one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world, draws pilgrims and visitors from across Nepal, India, and beyond — many of whom are specifically looking for pure vegetarian food nearby, in keeping with the spirit of the visit.
Our Gaurighat branch is a short distance from the Pashupatinath area, located opposite Gunjeshwori Temple near Mahadev Hotel (P972+4Q3 Gunjeshwori Temple, Gaurighat, Kathmandu 44600). It was opened specifically to serve this part of the city, where demand for genuinely pure vegetarian food — without onion or garlic on request, for those observing stricter dietary practices — runs high.
After a temple visit, the Gaurighat branch offers a calm, unhurried place to sit down for a full Thali, a South Indian breakfast, or simply a cup of masala tea. We can also prepare Jain-style dishes on request, without onion or garlic, for pilgrims observing that practice.
The Gaurighat branch can be reached at +977 9716316444, open daily 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Group bookings for larger pilgrimage parties are welcome — just call ahead so we can prepare the space.
